| 1409 is a flexible, waterproof tape based on a black polythene film coated with a thermoplastic adhesive that will resist hardening at normal and elevated temperatures. The tape is highly conformable making it easy to handle and apply. Application; 1409 is recommended for such applications as splicing and repairing silage covers, mulch sheets and pond liners; duct sealing, sealing bins and trailers to prevent corn loss and repairing and sealing fertiliser sacks. Reasonable tension should be used when applying the tape but is should not be overstretched and this will cause the material to which it has been applied to ruck allowing the entry of water. |
